new year
Lucy Rhiannon Scott was born on Monday July 12th at 4.28am. Birth was fairly eventful but there is honestly nothing I would change about the way things were handled. Will write the story and upload photos soon, but I haven't slept since Friday night and am way too exhausted to do anything right now other than care for my daughter (imagine that, I have a daughter!!)
Lucy weighed 8lb exactly and looks exactly like I did as a newborn. Her daddy loves her to pieces and I have never been so happy in all my life. We got home this evening after a 36 hour stay in hospital after the birth. Now if I could just stop looking at her for long enough to sleep.. :)

I second what Sara has said here, I felt very proud to have received that text message, and couldn't wait to email my Josh and tell him the good news. I then told Jacob saying "Jakey, Auntie Celeste has had a baby!" and I told him about the text message. Yes, I'm barmy! ;-p

So, thank you for sharing, Celeste. It's been great keeping the "secret" and also torture at the same time as I wanted to shout your news from the rooftops! Heh. :)

It was lovely to receive the text yesterday. As I've never had a friend give birth before, I'd never felt how I did when I read the news - I just kind of stared at my phone for ages, really moved. Well done; I'm completely in awe of any woman who goes through birth. I look forward to seeing the photographs :)
